Loulou de la Falaise: The Legend
Although she is best known as the longtime muse of fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, Loulou de la Falaise had a signature aesthetic that was all her own. “Loulou was a walking art piece,” writes Marisa Berenson in Loulou de la Falaise, a new book published by Rizzoli. “I always remember her as having the most unique style.” Berenson isn’t the only one to share her respects for de la Falaise, who passed away in 2011 at the age of 63. “She was a great icon,” recalled Marianne Faithfull. “She was infinitely elegant,” addedCatherine Deneuve. “The last time I saw her, we hung out all night and had such good fun,” wrote Kate Moss. Memories like these are dotted throughout the book by Sofia Coppola, Pierre Berge, Grace Jones and more, alongside photographs documenting her days as an effortlessly chic model, mother, and entrepreneur.
